A 3rd first class hundred for Tim Paine but it’s so much more
Australian test captain Tim Paine scored a fine century for Tasmania to start the Sheffield Shield season in Adelaide.
Despite having hip and leg issues before the start of the summer after many many months of running around his home town of Hobart and some training Paine hit the gaps nicely finding many boundaries particularly off leg spinner Loyd Pope including a 6 over mid wicket to take his score from 54 to 60.
Tim Paine was exceptional in his driving of Chad Sayers the SA fast bowler as he scored 111 not out
The innings was particularly impressive in his pull shots and driving through the covers and straight down the ground.
Good signs for Australia leading into the test summer. The 1st test starts around December 17 in Adelaide.
