Tim Paine And Justin Langer Look to Slight Culture Change But Determination to Win Won’t Change

Following on from the South Africa series Australian ODI team has arrived in England and preparing for the first challenge under new skipper Tim Paine.

Paine looking to establish his own marks on the Australian team. A inexperienced group without fast bowlers Mitch Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood. It’s a interesting tour for Australia but perhaps one that could have been avoided given the heavy international schedule a test tour of another country could have been more beneficial to this group of Australian players.

The English media will enjoy the continuous negative questions around the past despite losing a Ashes series 4-0 to Australia last summer. Paine leading Australia without star players Steve Smith and David Warner players with large contributions over the last 5 years in Test and limited overs Cricket.

Its very important that Cricket Australia put the players in a strong light and encourage more positive fan engagement with its Australian Supporters, media and public. This is a area CA have not done enough outside of the success Big Bash League (BBL). Why not have the injured players who have some time on Digital Media engagement with fans via Q and A sessions that is up to CA to encourage and my pushing of this positive movements will continue as the sport looks to restore its pride especially in a football loving country that Australia is.

Tim Paine will look to lead from the front along with experienced players in Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell over the next week with 2 warm up matches against English county teams before the One Day series with England from next Wednesday June 13 at the Oval in London.
