With Australia set to tour England for a limited overs series in June it remains unclear as do several appointments in Australian Cricket at present who will captain the Australian One Day Team.
Tim Paine has taken over the test captaincy due to extraordinary circumstances and despite the awful spot it’s put Tim Paine in the boy from Hobart deserves his chance after years of injury a level head and a private person has now emerged as Australia’s Test Leader. Given the enormous responsibility on Paine Cricket Australia and likely new Australian coach Justin Langer May look to Rest Paine from the limited overs tour.
With a new coach to be appointed Australia may actually take a large squad to England in June just so the players can spend time with Justin Langer (almost certain to be the coach) it will be interesting to see if Alex Carey and Tim Paine both tour England for the short tour.
Aaron Finch is likely the One Day skipper and Paine has just recovered from a broken thumb from the South African Test Tour so Australia May chose to rest him or play limited matches in England which could happen and be assed by the medical staff on tour as has been the case for Tim over the years he manages his injuries very well.
