img_0337Tim Paine returned to Australian test Team and experience proved straight away. Keeping Brilliantly, scoring vital runs at number 7 and a great team man proved his worth.

Paine 33, had not played test cricket since a 2 test series since October 2010. For the Tasmanian he had returned and proved his worth with a fine Test Career after 9 Test Matches. Not only playing well but perhaps beyond what others thought possible. Taking 25 catches and 1 stumping to record 26 dismissals for the series. Including 6 in the final test match of the series at the SCG.

The first test of the Ashes series at the Gabba was Paine’s Test debut on Australian soil after playing his previous 4 tests all overseas in England and India, debuting at Lords in July 2010 against Pakistan. Paine proved his worth at the Gabba including a remarkable sharp stumping off Off Spinner Nathan Lyon and a sharp review for a catch off England fast bowler Stuart Broad.

The 2nd test, the Adelaide Day Night Test Saw Paine score 57 in a innings of remarkable courage as the keeper batsman hit on his finger fight on and bat for a lovely innings and timely contribution to the Australian Team.

Australian captain Steve Smith has described Paine’s Ashes series after the 3rd Test In Perth as “exceptional” scoring very important runs for the Aussie team in a great team performance.

Paine’s keeping through out the entire series was breathtaking at times light feet moved well to take almost every ball, thousands upon thousands in Paine like fashion Tim Is our national hero a keeper with over 40 catches in his 9 Test Matches 3 50,s plus a 49 not out in Perth and a 38 not out in 57 degrees at the SCG in the Test Match.

Tim Now looks to play test cricket for the next few years at least a very working remarkable cricketer Tim Paine is a great of Australian Cricket for his fighting spirit and match wining contributions a master stroke selection which I modestly called for some 4 years ago thanks for proving me right Tim. Outstanding work.
