Australian Wicket keeper Tim Paine returns to Australian T20 Team for his 1st Australian tour since 2011 World Cup.
Paine a highly regarded Wicket Keeper batsmen is looking at the positives of a great last 10 months which included selection for the Home T20 series with Sri Lanka in February and now on tour with a full strength Australian team for this weeks T20 series in India.
Paine was a strong chance to retire after March but a change in coach in Tasmania gave Painey the chance to play on in his home state (he debuted in 2005 for Tasmania) and he’s looking to play “for a few more years yet”
Strong showings in the last 3 BBLs for the Hobart Hurricanes and strong one day campaigns leading Tasmania have given Paine the chance to replace Matthew Wade in the Australian side in the short formats.
“looking in the short term do well tomorrow night and in the Australian summer when I return home to shield and JLT Cup”
With a lot of certainty around Paine may even play one day Cricket for Australia in the Home ODI series with England following the Ashes series in January that is also followed by a T20 tri series with England and New Zealand and given recent selection Tim is the choice for both series wishing him well for a big summer.
